KIHIKIHI.
A meeting of those inteiested in getting up a 1 ace meeting was held in the Star Hotel on Monday evening. Theie was a fauly good attendance, about 30 being piesent. Mr Dyei, who occupied the chair, explained tlic object of the meeting It was decided to hold a meeting on the 17th M<uch, when it is intended to give, away in prizes the handsome t.um of AIIOO. As a good woi Icing committee lias been elected, the meeting bids fair to be what all our meetings always are, a Miccess. As our old racecourse m tlie domain has been fenced, and is now under crop, Mr Andpi&on very kindly gave poi mission to hold the meeting on his f.inn, where a splendid c >ui-e can be made with a little tioublo.
