VISIT OF BISHOP LUCK.
The Right Rev. Dk. Luck, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, arrived at Hamilton by Saturday's train from Auckland on a pastoral visit "to this district. On Sunday morning thu Bishop officiated at S. Mary s Chinch, Hamilton, and administered the sacrement of confirmation to about twenty young people of both sexes. In the course of his address the Right Roy. Prelate took occasion to impress upon patents the necessity of obtaining a spiritual education for their children. The church was crowded. The Bishop was assisted by the R&v. Father Fo\. In the evening Dr. Luck preached at the Cambridge Church, and confirmed about a dozen candidates. There was a very large congiegation. In the cnirse of liis sermon the Bishop again touched on the pies>ent system of education at some length. He expiessed a hope that befoie long a convent .school would be established in the Waikato district, and that the childi en might receive the advantage of a good leligious as well as> a sound secular education.
