IMPORTANT to RATEPAYERS.
We would remind ratepayers residing in townships under the Town Districts Act, that a general election of commi&sioneis will take place in September next. As the \aluation roll for 1884 to 1885 must be closed on the 15th inst., it may be interesting to firms to know that they should at once give notice to the value in writing as to which member of the firm intends exercising the right to vote on behalf of the said property, only one member of a. firm being eligible for voting. During former elections the Returning Officer has expeiienced much inconvenience, and not a little trouble has been caused through this matter not having been attended to, and not understood. We might also add for the infoimation of trustees of public properties paying rates that they are likewise required to nominate a representative to record their vote. The valuer, Mr J. P. Thomson, will receive the names of the voting representatives for Cambridge up till Monday evening, at the town board office.
