HYDRAULIC LIME TRADE yfc MARK J.^ilson&C? AUCKLAND, N. 2. FARMERS hn\c not lciliscl the \alue of coiioiete to thorn, and aic kept fiom usuig it thiongh mistaken ideas of cost, and fcai that they cannot cany out such woiKs as conciete dairies, out-buildings, tanks, sheep-dips, &c, or lay kitchen, daily, barn, cowshed, stockyard, pigseiy, fowl house, or any other floors, without engaging skilled labour. No doubt men acquainted with the work have the advantage, but still, any intel gent man w ho follows our instructions can soon acquire the necessaiy information. A dairy Sft. x 10ft. by Sft. hidi, if lined, will take 1000 ft of timber for walls and floors, at 13s per 100 ft, £7 10s. The same in concrete requires 40 bushels of lime at Is 9rl, £3 10s, and eii?ht yards giavel at 4s, £1 12s— or 48s less than timber When gravel is not available, rich clay, well burned, mak^s a good substitute. The cost of burning a cubic yard varies from Is Gd to 2s with wood, or 2a to 2s 6d with coal. There is no difficulty in treating it. Please send dimensions of buildings, tanks, floors, &c., and purposes intended for, and we will return estimates of all materials required, stating thicknpss to make walls and floors, and circular explaining treatment of lime.
