THE CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL.
TO THE EDITOIt. Srn, — Not having .seou the Jotter signed " Justitia " (in an issue of a ceitain journal of the 12fch'inst.) I can make no muurks to that, but what appearb to be a reply to " Justitia " in jour Tivks of the IStn mat., is not written by a disinterested person, if not a strong paitisan, ami is misleading throughout. " Agiieola " rsk.s : Why is it that .so many .senior child ten come from Cambridge Wet to Cambndge East? Of coui'oe a gieat deal might be lutcned fiom s'ich a question. But what aiu the facts? Three seniors, who ha\e passed the fourth standard and upwards, one of these to 1 the High School, do go fiom Cambridge West to (Jambiidge lOasl, and onesemoi who has passed iStandai d IV. comes fiom Canibudge ICast to Canibudge West. S,> jcally Cainbiidge Kast elementary school has one senior pupil to the good from Cambiidge We-.t, winch must be proclaimed tluou^h the Vioss. What foi ? To mislead. To toll p;u t of a tiuth in such a way as to make people believe something that i.y not tiue. Let "Agiicola" be more honest in hi.s .statements, for it is palpable t ) any one knowing the facts to be a series of " wanton ci 1 01 s 5 " and designed to mislead those not fully utfonnod on the subject. I would ask " Agi icola " to gi\ c a retui n of the pei ceutago of children under eight years of age on the roU'ofXJainbiidgp East' School. In Cambiidge West School theio' are two pu|)iU only o\oi thnteen yeaisof age, and 4V> poi cent, of tlie whole school aie uudei eight yo'UN of age. This last statement is sutliciont to sliowhow misleading the whole of " Agiicola V Icttoi is.—-] am, &c. A Memueu of C.W.C. 18th December, 1883.
