CRICKET. Cambridge v. Alexandra.

The cricket match between the Alexandra and Cambridge Clnb.s was played at Alexandra on Saturday. For a wonder the day was a deligtful 0:10, and the visitors arrived in good time in one of Carter's coacheb. As will be seen by the scoies, the Cambridge team had an easy victory, beating Alexandra by three run-, with nine wickets to spai c. This should fcc.ich the vanquished to go in for practice a little more ,irequently. The game, notwithstanding, Was a moat enjoyable one, all passing off vei-y pleasantly. Luncheon was provided on the ground, and at the conclusion of the match both teams hat down to a capital dinner, furnished by Host Finch, at the Alexandra Hotel, when they all had a good time. Mr Cotton was captain of the Cambridge team, and Mr J. C. Grier&on was captain for Alexandra. Below are the scores :—
