He was a 111.11*1 led man, about foity years of age. Wednesday. At the inquest on the body of .Skippiuton, who w.i-j killed by a tmck, .1 veidiet of accidental death was ictiuiied. The LiViul J3oaid, at .1 mooting to-day, "united a re-heaiing in the Kaikauiti division case. Medical Jurisprudence and Public Health : Thoie was only one applicant, and the appointment was deferred foi the piesent. The tenth annual meeting of the .shareholders in the National Insiuance Company was held to-day. Mr -T. M. Ritchie, chairman of dnectors, piesided, and the report and balance-sheets weie adopted. The figures .showed in the&e have already been telegraphed. The thiee letning diiectors, the hon. H. Oliver, Messrs A. Burt and J. M Kitcliie, were ie-clected.
