Hih Honour Judge Williams opened a court at Mercer on Thursday morning la.st for the 1 purpose of hearing the succession claims in the above block, which lies in the Raglan district. There are in all ninety ca-ies to bo disposed of, and it is expected that these will be got through in about a foituight from the opening of the court. Ho\ eral have already been dealt with. A large number of natives from various parts of the Waikato district, interested in the block, are attending the court, and Meicer hah not presented -such a lively and business-like appearance for many years past.
