The counsel informed their honours that since he had been struck off the ion\ Mr Staite had taken up his residence in Christchurcb, and had conducted himself in a (satisfactory manner, of which fact two legal gentlemen and cleigymen of the chinch have testified in wi itiiig. Mr Chapman appeared for the Wellington Law Society, and objected to the application being made, unless separate affidavits as to the behaviour of Mr Staite weie made.
