A NN IVERSARY SOIREE, CAMBRIDGE WEST.
The first anniversary soiree in connection with the Wesleyan Church/ Cambridge West, was held in the church on Wednesday evening last. Notwithstanding the veiy inclement htato of the weathor, there was an unexpectedly Urge attendance of people fiom all paits' of the distiict. The tables as might have been expected, weie .supplied with an abundance of everything, and ample notice w,ih done t-> the feast. The tables were pi esided over by Mesdames Jones. Den ton, Janett, Saundei.s, Hall, and Fletcher. After tea the' tables weie cleat ed, .md the building prepaiod for the jmbhc meeting which followed. Dining the meeting the chaii w.is occupied by the Ue\. H. K. Dew-'buiy. Addressee were delivered during the evening by the Rev. Messrs Dewsbury, Dean and Dukes, and hymns were sung at intervals. The cu.stomary votes of thanks weie accorded at the conclusion of the programme, and what was a most enjoyable meeting was brought to a close.
