PAINFUL ACCIDENT at CAMBRIDGE.
A VERY painful accident befel Mr Cornelius Gillet, fathei of Mr Gillet, National Hotel, Cambridge, on Thursday labt. Mr Gillet had a very objectionable r animal on his farm in the shape of a bull, which he wanted to get rid of, and which he employed a man to shoot. The person whom he employed fired at the animal, but only succeeded in slightly wounding it, whereat Mr Gillet took r the gnu, and putting a double charge in it fired at the infuriated animal. The gun unfortunately exploded, and a piece of the metal flying upwards struck the unfortunate gentleman on the eye, cutting the pupil right.; across. Dr. WaddingtonAvas intmediatelyi called, and under his cafe the patient is vow progressing favourably. He is not expected, however, to recover the use of the injured eye.
