South British Insurance Company. Auckland, Last Night. At the South British Insurance Company's half-yeaily meeting, to-day, the balance of profits was £30,07 G. The business shows a large increase. The dividend declared was fifteen per cent.

Sale of Costley's Estate. At the sale of Costley's estate there was brisk competition. The properties realised £34,495.

Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. A meeting to form a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has been formed, with an excellent committee.

Meeting of Creditors. At a meeting of creditors of James Hosie, Awharoa, the liabilities were set down at £1700. Mr Geddes was appointed trustee.
