Tiik divorce case, Ho wit/ v. Howitz aud Solomon, concluded liere to-day. The jury returned a verdict for the petitioner (husband) with damages £5000 agiinst the co-respondent. Mkldournk, September 18. The Picsbytery met to-day for the purpose of taking into cousideiatiou the charge of heiosy agiinst the Row Charles Strong. After hearing some formal evidence, the Presbytery adjourned till Thursday next. The death is announced of Mr Robert McGregor, M.L.A. for Emerald Hill. Among the passengers by the Messageries Maritimus steamship Saghalien, now in this port, ami homeward bound for Marseilles, are the Irish informers Hanlon and Kavanagh. The meu are travelling under assumed names, but ' their identity has been completely established, and they will not be permitted to land.
