TAOTAOROA HIGHWAY BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the above board was held at the Duke of Cambridge Hotel on Tuesday last. Present : Messrs Hunt (chairman), Brun->kill, Norris, and I.lll* Oil the motion of Mr Ellis, the engineer was instructed to call for tenders for gravelling from Brookside bridge to the foot of Brace's hill,' about a mile in length, tenders to be received by next meeting. The clerk was instructed to obtain a map of the district fiom the Survey (Mice, Auckland. An arrangement was made with the engineer to meet the board at Gorton at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 22nd inst., to inspect main and district load works which the board comtemplate undertaking during the present season. Some accounts amounting to £40 were pa&sed for payment, and the meeting terminated.
