Joseph's Chinch, Ihmedin, by F.ithur Newport. On tlu same day the respondent thieatened to desert her, grossly abused her, nnd offcicd her £100 if she would desert hiii. Duiiug riie following night Laverty again tliieatcnod to shoot his wife, who, feaiing that he would carry his threat into execution, iled from his hou^e, partially clothed, through the snow to that of a neighbour. The parties have been living separate &ince. The Collector of Customs has received a telegram from Owake that the schooner Isabella went ashore at the Spit while beiug towed out this morning. The vessel is waterlogged, but the crew were *aved. The retail price of mutton has advanced to fivepence.
