The following bills ware introduced by Minister :— Inspection of Machinery Extension, Public \Vorks Act Amendment, Property Assessment Act Amendment. On Major Atkinson's motion, the ten billh indicated last night were discharged fiom the Older Taper. Tli-j fnliowiui> bills were read a second time :— Ufcago Hai hour Board, Town Diatiicts Ainumbnent, Law Practitioners Act Amendment, and the Ofcago Dock. Interrupted by the 3.30 adjournment. The House resumed at 7.30. On the motion for the committal of the Native Reserves Bill, Mr Taiaroa said that he would not agree to the bill unless a clause was inserted that no compensation was to be paid by the native owners for improvements. Mr Fish strongly objected to the bill aa being most unjiust to tho natives. Mr Bryce intimated that he "" would accept Mr Tai;uoa's amendment. After some remarks from Messrs Se'ddon and Petrie the bill was ordered to be committed. flic Council's amendments in the Bankruptcy Bill were consideied, and those in clauses 30, 41, 44, 23, and 233, were disagreed to ; the others werc^grccd^h to.
