HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES YESTERDAY.

The House mot at 2.30 p.m. Mr M. W. Green moved the second reading of Ithe Otago Harbour Board Loan Bill. Mr Fish, without opposing the bill, thought it an unnecessary measure. Mr Macandiow and MY Turubull op* posed the bill, and Major Atkinson, Mr Bracken and Mr Montgomery supported it. The bill was read a second time. The Wellington College Land Bill, Timarii Mechanics Institute Act Amendment Bill, and Christchurch Cathedral Square Bill wero read a second time. The House went into committee on the Otago Haibour Loan Consolidation Bill, which was interrupted by, the 5.30 adjournment. The House resumed in Committee on the Otago Harbour Board Consolidation Bill. After a long discussion the bill passed through committee with ammendment. (Left sitting).
