THE AUCKLAND FOOTBALLERS.

[by telegraph.— own correspondent.] Ciiristouurcii, Last Night. Tht footballers practised ye&terday afternoon on Cranmer Square. Quite a number of Christchurch players were present, also spectators, and the general impression here is that they will beat Canterbury and Wellington, but that Dunedin will lower their co'ours. The two boating clubs have given the team permission to use their boats. Our boys do not practice again till to-morrow. All the team are in the pink of condition, and keep in training. Mr Ring's weak arm is almost r.g'nt.
