Waxcsaxui, Last Night. At the Police Court this morning a woman named Josephine Green was brought up on two separate chargesl of stealing a quantity of wearing apparel of the value of £o from Hawera, and of wilfully murdering her infant child, Arthur Stanlield, otherwise Arthur Orcen, on the 11th of January last at Hawera. The cases were not gone into at all, and the police asked for a remand to Haweia till Saturday next, when they will come on for hearing before die R.M. there. The woman is said to have been attested on the latter chaige in consequence of the sudden and mysterious disappearance of her child.
