SYDNEY SQUARE, HAMILTON.
TO THE KDITOB. Sir, — Having a splendid piece of ground level as a die set aside for recreation, which las been ploughed and sown in grass, a portion sodded for cricket play* ing at a considerable expense, why stop half-way? I think we should endeavour to get it fenced in. "Koine was not built in a day." If we can got it ploughed and sown one year, we ought to get it fenced the next, and planted with trees the following year. An effort should be made at once by starting subscription lists, and I feel certain that o\ eryone who wishes well to Hamilton would give something towards the expense. If any steps are to be taken this year in the direction indicated no time must be lost, or the season will be past for deing anything to the cricket ground. —I am, &c, Wkll- wisher.
