CAMBRIDGE PUBLIC CEMETERY.

A meeting of the trustees of the above cemetery was held at the office of Messrs Whitaker and Campbell on Monday, the 13th iiist. The chairman being absent, Mr J. P. Campbell was voted to the chair. Accounts. — A number of accounts were passed for payment. The Late Improvements. — The action of Col. Lyon, in permitting a number of the Armed Constabulary to improve the cemetery grounds, by laying out the walks, planting, and renewing the fence in some places, was warmly acknowledged, and it was unanimously agreed on motion that Col. Lyon be duly thanked for his valuable assistance. Mr J. Sharp, nurseryman, having given a donation of valuable shrubs, both serviceable and ornamental, for use in the cemetery, a vote of thanks was also accorded that gentleman. The Roman Cati-iolic Division. — As it was found that several Roman Catholics had taken up ground outside the demarcation line, it was agreed that two more sections should be granted them. This was all the business.
