■;The celebrated and much travelled Sydney Taiwhanga is here, He had a meeting at Manuhiri's place, at this morning. To Ngakau was present, so a8 regards his visit in a financial point of view, I apprehend Sydney will not gain much, as whoever gets ovei Te Ngakau is decidedly to be recommended. Sydney expected to meet Tawhiao, having wired he was coming, but his Majesty did not condescend to giVe him an audience, he having left for Kavvhia, or in that direction, some d.iys since. — (Own Correspondent, August Ist.)
