LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. YESTERDAY.
In the Council to-day, the hon. Mr Pharzyn moved "That payment of the honorarium to members of the coun* cil should cease with the present sessioti." Mews Reynolds, Richmond, Nuras, •nd Brett opposed the motion. The latter moved the previous question. Mr Peacock supported the original motion. On a division the previous question was carried by 25 to 6. The minority consisted of the hon. Messrs Dignan, Holmes, Martin, Peacock, Pharazyn, and "Williams.
