London, July 26. Orders have^been- issued by the War Office for the removal of a portion of the British troops now in Ngypt to the Island of Cyprus, unless some abatement in the virulence of the cholera epidemic is sneedilv effected.
New York, July 25. Intelligence is to hand from Niagara thatCapt. Webb.the well knowu swimmer, was drowned thereto-day. The account, received states that he was swimming the river below the fulls, when he was caught in a whirlpool, and drowned before assistance could reach him.
Cape Town, July 25. Telegrams have been received here repursing that Cetewayo was killed in the battle recently fought at Ulundi with Uaibepu. The announcement, however, requires confirmation.
