FOOTBALL.

We are glad to learn that an attempt has been made, rather late in the season It is true, to revive football in Hamilton. A meeting was convened by Mr W. Yon Stunner for Snturday night, at Bach's Hotel. The attendance, which was fair, included Messrs C. Johnson, W. Yon Stnrmer, Stewart, Harris, Green, Franklin, Vereker Bindon, Beale, Thompson and Burnand.— On the motion of Messrs Johnson and Green, Mr Y. Bindon waa voted to' the chair.— The same gentlemen were sponsors for the first resolution, 1 'That it is desirable to form a football club, to be called the ' Hamilton Football Club.' " — On the motion of Messrs Yon Stunner and Stewart, the entrance fee was fixed at 2s 6d, and the annual subscription at a similar sum. — The Auckland R.U.F.A. rules were adopted on the suggestion of Messrs Stewart and Harris. Messrs Stewart, Yon Stunner . and Harris were elected to the committee, and Mr Green appointed hon. secretary and treasurer. —lt was next resolved "That his Worship the Mayor be .respectfully invited to become president of the club, and the following gentlemen vice-presidents : Messrs F.
