TREATMENT OF SICK CONSTABLES.
TO tiijs j-DJTPRt Sm,-=-Will you allow me through the medium of your valuable paper to say a few words about the treatment of constables who are unfortunate ouough to become sick in Cambridge. Instead of having a room apart from the barracks for the use of invalids, they have to remain ji> the barracks amongst the men, which., as th e barracks are not at all well ventflntedi is neither pleasant nor healthy for the sick man or his gomrad.es. I think that instead of employing the men about the station effecting, I may say, unnecessary improvments to the officers' quarters, a little time and labour might be given towards erecting a room for the benefit of sick men. Trusting that those in aqthnrity will take the hint, and that you \yjll g^ve publicity to the above.— l atn, &(?., O^P Who If sqAVS. ' Cambridge, July 4th.
