WAI PA RACING CLUB.

A meeting of the committee of the above club was held at Mr Lewis' hotel, Te Awumutu, on Wednesday evening, Mr W. S. Rutherfoid in the chair. It was unanimously dpcided that the gencious offer of a course by Mr \V. Taylor be accepted. Mr Taylor not only ghes the comae, but also <a bonus of £10 to improve thr- #iound. It was suggested that a ploitfthiiifj bee be lv Id, and a» there aro suoli a number of double-furrow ploughs in the district the matter was looked upon as settled. It was lesohed that suhscuptions should lie made piyable on December 30th. As the sports in this disttict have always been so well patronised, the subject is> of some import ance. Our woithy member, Mr F. A. WliitaKiT, has kindly sti etched out a helping hand to encoinage and complete the work It was unanimou&ly decided to ask him if he would accept the position of \ ice-piesident of the club.
