AuckTjAXd, Last Nijjht. A house at Mount Erlen, owned by Mr Waifcc, tinsmith, w.is burned. It was insured in the New Zealand office for £130. It had been unoccupied for ten days, but last night a party was held there, which broke up at 1 o'clock. Mr Halstead bas bought the trotting stallion Quicksilver for" a gentleman at Wauganui. He will be shipped thither to-morrow. There was a large attendance at the funeral of the late Rev Mr Hobbs today. In the sharemarket Queen of Beaut} changed hands at 21s 9d ; Deep Level, 4s ; Impel ials, 47s to 48s.
