HOKITIK A, Saturday.
Tub West Coast Times office was lighted ■\\ ith electric light last evening. When the first lamp was lighted, it was considered by those present an entire success, but when six lamps were turned on the light became less steady, and the revolutions of the small engine, which acted as the motive power, decreased considerably. The light was not steady enough foi printeis to lead copy comfortably, us after every explosion of the gas engine a slight flickering in the light took place. It is intended to get a laiger gas engine, or probably substitute steam.
