J, C. Fnth, chairman of the tiamway committee, explained the position of affairs in connection with this work, ami submitted a report from the engineei, Mr PI. H. Adams, on the progress made since the previous repoit of 9th May. Aocoitnt*. — Accounts to the extent of £3,337 'is lid were passed for payment, no account rendered ha\ ing been rejected. This concluded the business of the ordinary meeting.

A committee appointed to make sipplicatioii for further giants under the Roa.ls and Bridges Construction Act met after the oidinary business Mas disposed of, and arranged to forward applications as under :— For main road from Mornnsville to Te Aroha, £31 23, beiug balance of £<")000 formally applied for, £1873 of which only was granted. For main road frnin Te Aroha township to Shaftcsbuvy, £3306, being balance of £3290 formally applied for. For main road, for portion of main Cambridge-Tauranga road, commencing at Taotaoroa and terminating at Stamford bridge on the Matamata Plain, £5918 J2s.
