It has transpired that the Hon. James Service has telegraphed to the other colonies, inviting their support to the proposed, annexation of the New Hebrides. All the Governments have replied except the New Zealand Government. South Australia hab expressed cordial approval of the proposal, and Governor Sir William Robinson has telegrapnctl to Earl Derby urging his approval. Mr Service has telegiaphed to the Agent-General for Victoria, London, instructing him to take steps to further the object in view.
