Sir Geo. Grey's Visit. AnoKTiAN'D, Last Night. It is probable that Sir Goo. Grey will not carry out his projected visit to Waikato. He was invited by Rewi and Wahanui to confer on the subject of having a block of land set apart for Ngatimaniapotos ; within the boundaries of which no interference by Europeans and others will be alloAved, until the various tribe 3 and hapus have met and divided it between themselves, agreeing that a portion shall be for each tiibe ; ample provision, however, to be made for roads and railways. The chiefs desired to take Sir Geo. Grey'a opinion re advisability of Parliamentary action this session. Some difference has however arisen between the chiefs on the subject, which renders it doubtful whether Sir George's visit would do any good, and he declined to attend any controversial meeting; the only ground ou which he would undertake the journey being an unanimous desire on the part of the leading chiefs to ask his advice.
