At the general meeting of the Suez Canal Company, held here to-iLiy, the Chairman, Court Ferdinand do Lessep«, presided, and in moving the adoption of the icport stated that the clirccsors had decided a year ago upon the construction of a second canal, and that negotiations, to which a favourable issue was expected, were now proceeding in England for the purpose of seeming the necessary land,
London, June 4. In the House of Commons to-day Lord E. Juno 5. In the House of Commons last night the Bill for amending the Corrupt Piactices at Elections Act was under consideration, and was read a second time. Earl Dufterin has been appointed Kmght of the Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath.
