The Boaid of Education ha\e been slow to recognise the necessity of it, and would not esen now ha\c done so but foi the action of the Raglan Council in threatening to prohibit them fiom using the council ehambeis for school purposes. The RuapuUc I'ublic Libiaiy Committee lia\o ]iist bent foi an excellent selection of books, which they have purchased piincipallj with their shate of the (rovernment giant for public libiaiies. The amount; of then shaie w.is ucaily CIO.
