London, May 11, (evening). Joseph Brady, one of the Phoenix Park immlcrers, was hanged to-day at Kilmainham Gaol. The proceedings passed off without disturbance. Fully 10,000 persons uere out>ide the gaol, and when the back flag was hoisted they all uncovered their he ids. May 15. The Pope ha 3 written an encyclical letter to the Irish Bishops having reference to the piesent st;ite of affairs in Ireland and the attitude of the Roman Catholic clergy. His Holiness insists upon coinpletu abstention from politics on the part of the Bishops and clergy.
