GISBORNE, Last Night.
The Ormond Road Board is in a curious fix. After the election of the board, the returning officer sealed up the ballot papers, to be deposited for one year with the clerk of the R.M. Court for safe custody, and by mistake also included the rate rolls. The clerk cannot break the seal under penalty of £50, and under the circumstances the highway board can neither collect or levy ratea. The fact has caused much commotion.
