There was no demonstration, but the A.C. Force under the command of Capt. Gabcoigne, formed a guard honour. Hig Excellency visited the barracks, and then left for Rukuhia. The Alexandia Band turned out and played a few tunes, which his Excellency acknowledged. The natives at Whathvhatihoe are disappointed, as Tawliiao expected the visitors there." His Excellency and party left for Auckland by special train yesterday afternoon with the object of arriving in town in time to be present at the ball ,at Government House last night. ' '
