CONDEMNED CHEESE. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — I yesterday tasted at Mr Finch's hotel one of the so-called "condemned" Te Awamutu Factory cheeses. I naturally, enquired why such cheese should be condemned, when i' u was fully equal to that made in Canterbury. I could not get any other information than that, although the directors, with the help of Capt. Runciman, had through the public press and otherwise depreciated the value of the cheese, some of them were the principal buyers at about 2hA per Ib, although I saw an otVev iv your , valuable paper of 4cl per Ib. Therefore, lam very thankful to say I am not an Unfortunate Shareholder, Alexandra, 12th April.
