This case, which has now been before the Court for the p(ast ten( days, was concluded this forenoon, so far as the admission , of^evidence is( cpn.cern.ecl. - , Dr Bulier applied" for an adjournment of the Court," ih^order' that he might have time to prepare his address. The application was opposed by Mr' Sheehan, v who professed his readiness to review'the ckse oh its merits 'forthwith, in brder that the' judgment' might be given at once, and the business of the court thereby expedited. > .'. Dr. jßuiler further,advocated < the adjournment, and in 'doing so supplemented his application \>y stating that a great many of the natives were desirous of pro-raedijjg-to^aotu 4o meefr fTawl^iao on his return from the South; * ' His Honour the Chief Judge admitted .there was some,force,in ,the, Tatter argument ;' and ''although' most! anxious 'that no unnecessary delay should take place,, he considered himself justified in granting the adjournment 'applied for. Judge Puckey and the Native Assessor^ r£onctirfeid,'ahd the court! accordingly adjourned till Tuesday.
