KIHIKIHI CONCERT.
A concert and dance too* place in the Public Hall on St. Patrick's night. The house was well iiiled with a very appreciative audience, in fact at times perhaps too much so: There was no lack ;6f talent, as regards quantity, the gentlemen being especially numerous. The song of the evening was thai by Mr Moore, entitled " Maid of Athens." He also'saiigj '^ith great j taste < -" All the World's a stage "ans ha'fttlly'meribeci the applause bestowed Upon him. ,Miss Sage sang "Killarney" and "The Lime Trees," evidently with feeling, and seemed to be a great favourite with the public. Miss Siige has ease and grace when on the stage, seldom exhibited by, amateur singers, and' Kihikihi .may ■welli be proud of this promising artiste. The duet " All's Well" was very assuring. Mr Johnson was as ii3tial very funny, and \v:i3 repeatedly encotcd. Mr Nicholson in a song "I'm an Irishman," appealed to the hearts of many. Mr liitrg sans "Simon the Cellarer." Mr Halls was remarkably volatile. The concert beincr over, dancing was kept up until neatly midnight.
