ST. PATRICK'S DAY ATTRACTIONS IN WAIKATO
Jo-day being the national holiday of ■Ireland, some o£ the communities in Waikato, ' who we might say are prevented 1 from ! taking advantage of the more', general, holyluyl* by the counter attractions of stronger communities, have come to the front in their turn with well selected programmes of amusement. It is very pleasing to notice in this colony, particularly this portion of it, that there is no sue!) thing as national prejudice, but, instead, all denominations in the community, on an occasion of this nature, whether it be S. Andrew's, S. George's or S. Patrick's day, merge their feelings into one common national sentiment, which may reasonably be termed cosmopolitan so far as the three "leading nationalities are concerned. This feeling has always exemplified-itself-in Waikato, and we hope will continue to do so, notwithstanding any attempt which may be made by any outside agency or messenger of disunion to upset it.
