Mr Harrington Elected. Mr Harrington, secretary of the Irish National League, who wns recently placed ,«lider arrest, has been elected to the vacancy in the representation of Westmeath in the House of Commons without 'opposition.

The Newcastle Election. The election to a vacancy in the representation of Newcastlc-on-Tyne, caused by the resignation ot Mr Ash ton Dilke, took place to-d,vy, ami resulted in the return of Mr Morley by a large majority.

The French Royalists. P\rj.s, February 25. A decree under the hand ot President Gr^ve has been issued, placing the, Duke of Aloncon, Annadale and Ohartres, now holding commissions in the French ainiy, upon the retired list.
