THE PATETERE COMPANY COMPANY'S CO UNSEL.
TO THE EftlTOK. - Sir,— Would' you kindly insert the following letter, a similar one having been forwarded for publication to the Evin'uig Star. I was- surprised to see a f telegram in last issue of that paper and a paragi aph in the last issue of yours, to the effect that the Pataterc Company had transferred their retainers from Dr. Buller to Mr Sheehan. This is not the case. Dr Buller is acting for the Patetere Campany in the same position that he lias occupied from the fiist, and enjoys our full .confidence. After consulting with Dr. Buller, and with his full coucurrence, the conduct in Court of certain sub-division cases was entrusted to Mr Sheehau, he having been originally employed by the company in relation to the blocks affected thereby, and being, indeed, under agreement to complete the title. I feel assured that, in common justice to the parties, you will inseit this • letter, which I have written in haste, and in the absence of my co-directors. — I am, &c, Joua Wilsps, .
