RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, CAMBRIDGE.
Thursday.— (Before Mr H. W. Northcroft, R.M.) The Ngatikawhata Forcible Entry Case. This case was completed on Thursday evening, when Mr Hay called the last witness for the prosecution. After Mr Hay had closed his case, His Worship said as the evidence in the ease was so conflicting and so voluminous, he would have to take time to consider it before' calling on the defendants for their, defence. ' He would, consequently, adjourn the case until Monday next, when if he did not consider it necessary to call upon the defendants for a defence, the Court would proceed with the hearing of the case of riot, in which there were six accused, viz : Messrs E. B. Walker, Jno. Griee, W. H. Grace, Thornton Walker, Charles Walker, and Arthur B. Stubbing. The Court accordingly adjourned until Monday morning.
