CHRIST CHURCH, OHAUPO. Annual Meeting of Parishioners.
Thk annual meeting of pai'ishioners was held after service on Sunday last, Archdeacon Willis presiding. There was a good attendance. The minutes of the last meeting having been continued, the accounts were read, showing .-—Receipts, £40 lls 7d : expenditure, £35 5s 4d, with a balance in hand of £5 6s 3d. — On the motion of Mr Lake, the balancesheet was adopted, and the sum of £1 was ordered to be contributed towards the expenses of the clergyman attending the Synod. — Hearty votes of thanks were passed to Miss Prince and Mr Woods for their zealous and regular services as organists ; to Mr and Mrs Kusabs for their self-denying and earnest efforts in ednnection \v\hti the Sunday-school, and to Mr Gleye for his paiticular care of the fabric of the church. — Mr Kusabs was re-appointed minister's warden ; Mr W. •I. Hunter was unanimously elected parishioners' warden, and the following gentlemen were elected a committee :—: — Messrs E. H. Gubbins, E. Lake, J. Prince, G. Pi ince, Gleye and T. Hughes. — Mr Gleye's kind offer to keep the church in order for another year was thankfully accepted. — It was resolved as a tentative measure that the hour of service on Feb. 11th and on March 11th should be half-past six instead of halfpast'three.
