Tut- total number of immigrants that have been nominated since the icsiimption of assisted immigration in August last 13 4762 souls, or 41G6 adults, the nationalities being English, 1,834 ; Irish, 1,814 ; .Scotch, 1067 ; foreign, 87. The single men number 916, as tollows : English, 277 ; Irish, 437 ; Scotch, 185; foreign, 17. The single women number 178.1, being English, 438; liish, 10 v5; Scotch, 263; foreign, VJ. The remainder compose families. The total amount of fees received was C 12,641 ]os. The nominations by yesterday's mail were 44S souls, or 396\ adults, distributed as follows : Auckland, 91 ; Taranaki, 9 : Hawkes Bay, ]9 ; Wellington, 62 ; Nelson, 24 ; Westland, o ; Mailborough, 2 ; Canterbury, 93 ; Otago, 105 ; Southland, 3S. The nationahtes weie : Englisli, 163 ; liish, 140 ; Scotch, 133; Foreign, 8. The single women numbeied 1.T7, of whom 54 were English, 7") Irish, 24 Scotch, and 4 Foreigners. The single men were SS, being of Engli&h, 2,3; lii&h, 35; and Scotch, 28. The nomination fees received amounted to £1,127. The Government have received advice fiom the Agent-General, London, ot the sailing ot the ship Itangitikei, vith 293 nnmigiants, for Auckland ; and of the ship Oxford for Wellington, with 302 immigrants.
