A sekious accident happened at Matamata ou Wednesday. A young man named Alfred Smith who, it will be remembered, met vith a serious accident three months ago, was driving a Cambridge roller down au incline, when the horses becoming restive lie was thrown forward, falling partly in front of the roller, which passed over his head. He was picked up unconscious, ami conveyed to the camp. Dr. Cushney, who was immediately sent for, dressed the wounds, and remained over-night. When he left nevt day the patient was recovering, but was still in a precarious state.
