POSTPONENENT OF THE LAW VACATION.
Tkk Chief Justice has telegraphed His Honor Mr Justice Gillies that the vacation for the year ia to commence on the (3th of February, and terminate on the 22nd of March, inclusive. In' consequence of thia change the civil and divorce business for the ensuing circuit Court, which opens on Wednesday next, the 17th instant, will be taken immediately after the criminal calender is exhausted. For the criminal side 1 there are twenty-nine cases for thirty-seven prisoners. The civil list comprises four cases which have been entered for trial — viz., Ramusv. Buckland, McClusky v. Gilbert, Crosbie v. Lynch, and Hammond v. Wayte, and, m addition to these, another case will be added if the issues are settled to-morrow (to-day.) There are three divorce cases— viz., Little w Little and another, WilcocU v. Wilcock and another, and Montrose v. Montrose and another. As the Easter holidays follow immediately upon the, vacation, there will be no sitting in banco between now and Wednesday, the 28th of March next. — Herald,
