HAWBRA, Last Night. A drowxin'G accident occurred at Manutahi on Saturday. A boy named King, who was bathing in a dam, got out of his depth, and his father who went to saye v him was drowned also. The bodies have been recovered.
OHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A boat belonging to one of the vessels in Lyttleton harbour, and containing three men, capsized yesterday while under full sail. They were rescued in an exhausted condition.
DUNEDIN, Last Night. Massio, ex-Town Clerk, is still unable to rind bail. It is understood the police have found some important documentary evidence at his house.
WELLINGTON, La&t Night. Mr H. Wright has been elected secretary of the Wellington Meat and Export Company. Gear's butchering company have contracted for slaughtering until the yards have been erected. The Lady Jocelyn commences loading meat on the ISth inst.
BLENHEIM, Last Night. An infant aged eighteen months, the son of a labourer named Whitbury, fell into the Opawa river this morning and was drowned. The body has not yet been recoveiod.
