CRICKET. Ngaruawahia v. Taupiri.

A cbickjjt match was played at Ngaruawahia on Saturday, the 30tli December, Taupiri v. Ngaruawahia, and resulted iv a victory for the latter on the first nuiiugs by forty-one ruiib. The batting of {taper and P. Edgecunibe for Ngaruawahia, and Edney and Greenwood for Taupiri, waB very good. Tlie bowling of Edgecumbe was very destructive against Taupiri, he taking three wickets in one over. The Ngaruawahia team are iv hopes of receiving a challenge froiri Hamilton to play a ' friendly match upon Regatta Day, 29th inst., when no doubt they will uphold the honor of Ngaruawahia in a proper manner.
